Headaches

Do You Know Anyone Who Gets Headaches?
Headaches…What a Pain!

Essential Oils can be so very effective for those pesky headaches. If you know how to treat them you can help so many people feel better.  Don’t be shy to share this with those people who suffer from headaches.  They will thank you for this information.

If a person suffers from stress headaches, or cluster headaches, or just your occasional everyday headache this is the therapy you can try:

The Peppermint Halo:
1. Take 2-3 drops of our beautiful French Peppermint essential oil in the palm of your hand (remember out TRUessence French Peppermint has a much higher menthol content than other peppermints, and it will take the pain away better than any other peppermint will — so be sure to have a TRUessence Peppermint bottle always handy!)
2. Cover the pads of your two pointer fingers with the peppermint oil.
3. Starting right above the inside corners of the eyebrows touch your pointer fingers (with oil on them) to right above where you furrow your eyebrows together…making sure to get peppermint oil on those two points.  Then rub gently outward above the entire eyebrow.  Please note that our peppermint oil is very strong and just the vapors of it can get in peoples’ eyes and make them water.  This is harmless — just take care not to get this peppermint oil in anyone’s eyes.  It would make them burn and water.  Continue on from the outer edge of the eyebrow to the temples and be sure to get that spot really good with the peppermint.  Right under the skin at the temples are lots of large blood vessels and it can really help to open those up.  You’re going to message gently and apply the oil as you go.  Once the temples have been treated continue down to right in front of the ears.  Then follow the hair line up and around the ear and around all the way to the back of the head so that your fingers touch at the base of the hairline on the back of the neck.  You have just applied a small amount of peppermint oil all the way around their head.  This is called a peppermint halo.
4. Now do steps 1 through 3 over again now with Lavender essential oil.  In other words, you will follow the peppermint halo with a lavender halo.  Our lavender oil also comes from France and is called in France the Divine Mother because of it’s nurturing and healing qualities.  Make sure to use TRUessence essential oil in all of these treatments for best results!
5. And now, if the headache is a bad one, follow this with a Marjoram essential oil halo.  Marjoram is a good oil for muscles, and will help them relax and function properly.

By the time you’re done applying all 3 halos your headache victim should feel much better.  Have them sit in a relaxed position and breathe deeply during and after this therapy.

For Migraines you would use a separate oil. I, myself, suffered from severe migraines for some time.  Once I discovered Clary Sage essential oil they started getting less and less frequent and I have not had one now in about a year or more.  This is especially effective on migraines due to hormonal imbalances, which mine were.  If you get those — you MUST try this:

Migraine Relief
Just open your bottle of Clary Sage essential oil and sit and take very deep breaths of it for 5-10 minutes.  That’s it!  How can such a simple thing be so effective?  If you can smell the oil you are getting lots of those very tiny molecules into your lungs.  Those small essential oil molecules go down into your alveoli and go right through into your blood stream.  Also your olfactory nerves are picking up on those essential oil molecules and going right into the core part of your brain where they effect your whole body in a very healing way. –  Just try this, it has done wonders for allot of people!

Such simple things, yet so healing to our bodies!
